D-Day Minus 3
On Thursday early AM we drove the RV back to our house. I was able to pull it into the neighbors across the street so that I would have a straight shot into our drive. We immediately saw that this was not going to work as the hitch on the back of the RV would hit about half way up the steep incline to our driveway.
Got it squared in the street and started getting some stuff arranged. We have decided to use our pots/pans/grill/etc, as we will just be more comfortable in case anything gets overused.
At 10:00, Jackson and I headed out for 9 holes of golf with a neighbor. Their first grade son wanted to play golf with Jackson for his birthday. It was a nice break from all the hustle and bustle of the week. We had lunch at FredHots on the way home. Some good bonding time with Jackson.
Hit the ground running when I got back home. Hooked up an LCD TV in the back bedroom and built a stand for a second that will go above the cab in the front. Most of the sites we have booked have cable TV and we have a lot of DVD’s that we have collected for the trip. Got my new Weber gas grill that the kids gave me for Father’s day set up and loaded, and generally got acclimated to the vehicle.
